Mel Black, BA, EdS, JD
Mel is the former executive director of the North Carolina Appraisal Board and former Education Officer at the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Now an attorney in private practice, Mel represents clients from around the state before their licensing boards. He also has written and regularly teaches appraisal continuing education classes through-out the state. He is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. Mel also teaches Real Estate continuing education by request. |

Dr. J. Craig Julian, SRA
Dr. J. Craig Julian, SRA has been a real property appraiser for 25 years. He has appraised in multiple states and is currently General state certified in the following states: Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. He earned the distinguished SRA (Senior Real Estate Appraiser) designation in 1988 at the young age of 22. He has multiple degrees including a degree in real estate and a doctorate in education. He has testified as an expert witness in several state and district courts. He is an approved appraisal instructor for the Texas Real estate Commission, North Carolina Appraisal Board and the Appraisal Institute. He has written and reviewed several real estate appraisal textbooks for colleges and proprietary schools. He has worked as a field appraiser, review appraiser, appraisal director of the largest real estate school in Texas and is currently the district review appraiser manager for the 4th largest bank in the United States. |
